I will place the thesis on these webpages as I have time to retype it. The carbon copy is too fuzzy to scan properly.

 

—about Minority Characters on the 18th century English Stage, Richard Cumberland's treatment of them in his sentimental comedies and comic operas. This is my dissertation, completed at the University of Texas in 1972. I have changed the title from Character Types in Richard Cumberland's Comedies to Richard Cumberland: "Defender of the Downtrodden"?
